Position Title
Application Programmer/Analyst I - SOARIAN - IT (CH)
Position Overview
APPLICATION PROGRAMMER/ANALYST I - SOARIAN (Information Systems): Supports one or more hospital Information Systems Application for several Catholic health System (CHS) facilities. Identifies and implements technical solutions for CHS business and/or clinical needs. Responsibilities include system maintenance, management support and trouble-shooting. Provides a variety of system services and utilizes Information Systems (IS) knowledge to support customers. Provides technical and functional analysis, system building, code writing, and support during system implementation. Troubleshoots problems and issues with systems and software, analyzes issues, performs and documents resolution, and responds to customer requests. Prepares specifications and documentation related to system implementation or revision. Provides primary support responsibility for application specific projects.
REPORTS TO: Transformational Management Office, Technology Integration Director
SKILLS and EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (minimum):
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Five (5) to six (6) years related experience required.
· Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of Information Systems, computer systems analysis and design required.
· Extensive computer experience, with personal Computer applications and larger systems.
· Healthcare experience highly recommended.
· Demonstrated knowledge of system analysis concepts, techniques, tools and standards required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Demonstrated skills with personal Computer applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office applications.
· Good organizational and analytical skills.
· Ability to establish good working relationships with hospital staff at all levels.
· Ability and means to travel among CHS sites, including valid NYS drivers' license.
· Technical knowledge of Siemens computer applications strongly preferred.
· Knowledge of revenue cycle process and complexities is strongly desired.
