Position Title
Payroll Coordinator II - Finance (CH)
Position Overview
Payroll Coordinator II - Finance: Under general supervision, the Payroll Coordinator II is responsible for all aspects related to processing payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment for designated facility or facilities. Applies advanced skills and relies upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Responsible for processing federal and state tax payments, quarterly payroll tax returns and W-2's. Serves as a primary resource for all Payroll Coordinators with regard to MS4 & Kronos Time & Attendance System for technical issues and/or complex Payroll issues. Responsibilities also include, but not limited to reconciling payroll deductions, payroll adjustments, electronic transmissions & calculation of DBL and Worker's Compensation. Also may include Positive Pay, IVR Profile, and Fixed Distribution as needed.
REPORTS TO: Payroll Supervisor
SKILLS and EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (minimum):
EDUCATION:
· Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
· A minimum of three to four (3-4) years Payroll experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
· Excellent knowledge of applicable current Federal and New York State wage and hour laws and regulatory requirements.
· Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills.
· Strong PC computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel & Word software applications.
· KRONOS Time and Attendance System experience a plus.
· Experience operating with AS400 MS4 system preferred.
· Planning and organization: an ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
· Ability to successfully carry out roles and responsibilities within a team based work environment.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Possess excellent communications skills, problem-solving abilities, customer service, and organizational skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Office setting, some local travel is required to other CHS facilities.
· Extended work schedule required in order to ensure the completion of all necessary payroll processing activities, including holiday pay weeks.
