Position Title
Clinical Manager Home Care (MSHC)
Position Overview
Clinical Manager Home Care (McAuley Seton Home Care): Responsible for all aspects of clinical and operational supervision as it pertains to patient care, home health personnel and supportive services. Directs or coordinates the work of others and evaluates their performance. Provides leadership by guiding, teaching, developing and motivating others to perform in a manner that reflects the values of the system. Responsible for assisting with marketing for services that Catholic Health Home Care provides. Provides nursing on-call coverage for the Agency.
REPORTS TO: Director, Mercy Home Care
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Approximately 100 individuals)
- Personal Care Aides
- Home Health Aides
- LPNs
- RN's
SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM)
EDUCATION:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, college or university.
- Bachelor's Degree (BSN) preferred
- Current New York State RN license
- PRI/Screen certification preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years professional nursing experience
- Two (2) years experience in a Certified Home Health Agency required
- Home Care clinical and or teaching experience
- One (1) year Supervisory experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Proficient clinical and assessment skills.
- Must be able to effectively teach trainees and field staff
- Evaluate skill competency.
- Must be able to relate clearly and effectively in a professional manner
- Ability to display tact and sensitivity while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Organizational skills and leadership ability
- Ability to supervise, provide direction and motivate workforce
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in executing responsibilities
